ANNUAL MOTTO
Our club’s new motto for the 2026/2027 club year is ‘Presence’
I am delighted to be taking on the presidency of our club for the 2026/2027 club year.
Whether in conversations with members of other Rotary clubs, in a professional or private context – time and again, people speak to me about our club, expressing great appreciation and offering plenty of praise. This delights me every single time and makes me proud to be part of this club.
Our club is perceived as committed, active and visible in many areas. This is not something to be taken for granted, but rather the result of the dedication of every single member. This positive perception shows that we are present – not only within our club, but also in the public eye and in our local community.
Maintaining and further strengthening this vibrant presence is a particular priority for me.
That is why the motto for the new club year is: ‘Presence’
For me, presence means being consciously present, getting involved and taking responsibility.
It means nurturing relationships, bringing people together and treating others with attentiveness, openness and genuine interest.
The theme of ‘Presence’ will accompany us throughout the entire club year. We will get to know inspiring individuals, projects and organisations, and learn how conscious presence can bring about change. In doing so, we will remain true to our focus and place women, children and social engagement at the centre of our work.
I am very much looking forward to taking on this role together with a motivated and dedicated Executive Committee. This gives me confidence and the certainty that, together, we can achieve a great deal in the coming club year. I would like to express my sincere thanks in advance for your willingness to get involved and to shape this year together with me. I am very much looking forward to working with you all.
Special thanks also go to all the members of the various committees. Through their commitment, their ideas, and the time and energy they devote to our club, they make a vital contribution – without which much of what makes our club special would simply not be possible.
I look forward to inspiring encounters, engaging conversations and joint projects.
